Driver sent to hospital after overcorrecting, flipping car

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies were sent to the 2200 block of Oaks Road on Monday, Feb. 20 after a driver over-corrected and the car flipped.

When deputies arrived, they say they found that Missy Sisson, 35, of Calvert City was driving her 2004 Chevy SUV on Oaks Road. Deputies say Sisson briefly ran off the road and tried to correct. According to deputies, she over-corrected and lost control of the SUV.

They say the SUV then flipped to its side and slid to the side of the road into a ditch. Sisson was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for apparent minor injuries.

The sheriff's department says the road was closed for about 30 minutes while cleanup crews cleared the area.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Mercy Regional Ambulance Service and the Reidland Fire Department.
