PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Lourdes has announced that Mark Desmond has been named to the position of Vice President-Mission Integration at Mercy Health Partners.

Desond comes to Lourdes from Cincinnati where he served as the Vice President, Mission Integration and Foundations for Catholic Health Partners.

KDPH names Baptist Health 'HeartSafe Community'

 

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Baptist Health Paducah has been named a "HeartSafe Community," by the Kentucky Department of Public Health for its quick response to cardiac arrests.

McCracken County is the fifth Kentucky county named a HeartSafe Community by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the Kentucky Department for Public Health.

"This award lets people know they are entering a HeartSafe community when they come to McCracken County,"  Baptist Health Paducah nurse practitioner Deborah Welsh said.

Public access channel to air WKCTC ceremonies

Public access channel to air WKCTC ceremonies

 

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) – The West Kentucky Community and Technical College honors and graduation ceremonies will play on the college’s access channel.

The graduation ceremonies held Tuesday night at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center can be seen on Public Access Channel 2 on Wednesday, May 22 at 5:30 p.m.

The honors ceremony held in the WKCTC Clemens Fine Arts Center on Monday, May 13 can be seen on Channel 2 on Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m.

All ceremonies can be seen in high-definition at paducah2.org on Tuesday, May 21.  The ceremonies can be found under the “video” tab on the Web site.

Sheriff's offices to auction off seized property

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS)- Two sheriff's offices in western Kentucky will be auctioning off seized property on Saturday.

According to McCracken County Sheriff Jon Hayden, the McCracken and Graves County Sheriff's Offices will be having a first ever joint
Sheriff's auction this Saturday May 18
.

To comply with
court orders, they will sell property seized in drug
investigations in the area.
 

Property
being sold consists of cars, pickups, a Harley Davidson
motorcycle, scooters and a couple of collector-type vehicles. A 1963 Chevrolet
Impala SuperSport fully original that contains the original owners manual is
included in the long list of vehicles to be sold.

Baptist Health Paducah employee retires after 46 years

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A longtime Baptist Paducah Health employee is retiring.

Certified Pharmacy Technician LaDon Gamblin was the longest-serving current employee with 46 years of service.

According to BHP, the worked for every pharmacy director since the hospital was established.

Gamblin says she now plans to travel, garden and spend time with family.

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Intuitive Collage and Encaustic Collage Classes are  being rescheduled for later this year, according to the Tracey Buchanan Studio.

The class was to be taught by Crystal Neubauer on May 17-18 at Ephemera Paducah.
