Jefferson street to close on Halloween | Arts & Culture

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The city of Paducah says Jefferson Street will be closed between 19th and 25th Streets on Monday, Oct. 31.
The city says the street will be closed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. They say this neighborhood is a popular location for Halloween trick-or-treaters with about 2,000 people expected. They are closing the street for pedestrian safety.
The Paducah Police Department recommends that general trick-or-treaters in neighborhoods throughout the city be held between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Halloween. According to chapter 66 section 196 of the city's code of ordinances, the curfew for minors, less than 18 years old, is 11 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday.
