PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - An 8 1/2-foot, pink-flocked Christmas tree has been donated to the Western Baptist Imaging Center for breast cancer awareness.
Williams Christmas Tree owners Corey and Heather Williams donated the tree for breast cancer awareness. Heather Williams, R.N., said she wanted the tree to lift the spirits of people dealing with cancer this holiday season.
Corey Williams cut the Fraser fir from a North Carolina tree farm on Nov. 27. He said it took about 30 minutes to flock and about 3 1/2 hours to string its 2,800 lights.
Heather Williams also shaped pink-flocked tree branches into a breast cancer ribbon wreath. It hangs in the Baptist Imaging Center’s mammography suite.
“It is the first one I have ever made,” she said. “I did it for my grandmother, Lorena McGinnis, who is a breast cancer survivor.”
