WKCTC to hold Fundamentals of Photography class | Arts & Culture

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Interested students can learn photography fundamentals at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
WKCTC is offering a five-week course to teach photography fundamentals beginning in August.
Instructor Jim Ethridge will cover subjects such as camera types, ISO and exposure settings, composition, lighting, types of photography, and more.
Ethridge has owned and operated a wedding photography business for 15 years. Ethridge's photographs have been used in several books, such as "Paducah, Kentucky: A Center for Culture and Commerce" which celebrates the 65th anniversary of the Paducah Chamber of Commerce. He has also won several local photography contests.
The class will be held Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Emerging Technology Center, room 112. The dates for the class are August 14, 21, 28 and September 4 and 11. A short field trip is also planned.
The cost for all five classes is $85. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera. Call 270-534-3335 to register.
