PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Lourdes Women's Center received a donation of a $1,200 oriental rug on Thursday.
Ethan Allen donated the rug. Brandon Moss, New Business Development Director at Ethan Allen, says the store wanted to give back to the community and honor breast cancer survivors.
The rug will be displayed in the Beads of Courage room in the Lourdes Women's Center. Beads of Courage is a program Lourdes offers to women being treated for breast cancer. Through the Beads of Courage Program, women can record, tell, and own their story of courage with colorful glass beads. A bead is given for each step in their treatment journey. Each bead of courage tells a story of strength, honor and hope.
Lourdes is the first hospital in the region and the second hospital in the country to pilot the adult oncology program.
