Iron Mom Half-Marathon raises $25,000 for Family Service Society | Community Spirit

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The 2nd Annual Lourdes Paducah Iron Mom Half-Marathon raised $25,000 for the Family Service Society.

The event, held in May, featured more than 724 runners from 17 different states. Last year's race raised $20,000.

Family Service Society is a not for profit agency serving as a crisis resource to the residents of Paducah/McCracken County by providing assistance with food, clothing, medications, utilities and dental.

“We are grateful to Lourdes, the members of the Iron Mom Committee and all of our community partners for organizing such a fantastic event," said Pam Truitt, executive director of Family Service Society. "In challenging economic times, more families seek our services for support.  We are thankful to be able to use the funds from this event to meet their needs.”
