Picnic at Noble Park Sept. 8 celebrates Recovery Month | Community Spirit

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Center Point Recovery Center for Men and Four Rivers Behavioral Health Regional Prevention and Education Center will be sponsoring a picnic at Noble Park on September 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate Recovery Month.
Anyone interested in celebrating recovery is encouraged to attend. Organizers say that those attending are required to bring a side dish or dessert. They say chicken will be provided.
Recovery Month is an initiative sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The observance, celebrated each September for the past 23 years, honors individuals in recovery, their families and friends who have supported them during their journey, and those who work in the prevention, treatment, and recovery support services field.
