Farmers' Market Festival returns to Downtown Paducah

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Paducah Renaissance Alliance is happy to host its annual Downtown Farmers’ Market Festival Saturday, October 6.

There will be food, music and fun activities for kids of all ages.

The Farmers’ Market Festival will be at 2nd and Monroe Streets between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Live Bluegrass music will be provided by local band, Homemade Jam. Organizers say the band was a big hit at Live on Broadway this summer, and PRA is excited to have them back. Their energetic Bluegrass style will set the mood for face painting and fall crafts.

Master Gardeners will feature free events for kids, such as a wooden goat for “milking” and art and horticulture activities. Adults can receive free information on trees, shrubs, lawns and gardening.

Jason Lindsey of Hooked on Science will delight those in attendance with fun fall experiments involving pumpkins and more.

“The Farmers’ Market Festival will be a great way to enjoy a beautiful fall day downtown while also getting freshly harvested produce,” said Lisa Thompson, Executive Director for PRA. “Many of the farmers have pumpkins and gourds that are perfect for fall decorating.”

Organizers say make sure to bring your camera to take photos of your kids at the Farm Fun photo station. The first 100 kids to come will receive a goodie bag stuffed with fall gifts.
