PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The City of Paducah says a reception and ceremonial swearing-in of the Paducah Board of Commissioners was held Tuesday, January 8 at City Hall.
The reception began at 4 p.m. in the atrium of City Hall. The ceremony was at 5 p.m. and included prayers for the City of Paducah, McCracken County, State of Kentucky and the nation. The Mayor and Commissioners will be sworn in by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Bill Cunningham.
Saxophonist Reggie Lafaye and the Paducah Tilghman High School's male a cappella ensemble performed at the reception. The ceremony ended with a song of praise from Harrison Street Baptist Church.
After the ceremony at 6 p.m., the Paducah Board of Commissioners met to conduct official business in the Commission Chambers.
