Heart Health Fair offers free screenings Feb. 23

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Baptist Health Paducah will offer free screenings during a Heart Health Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, February 23, in the atrium of Doctors Office Building 2.

Western Baptist staff will provide free blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol screenings. Fasting and advance registration are not required.

In addition, physicians and nurses will be available to answer questions.

Monitoring risk factors, such as blood pressure and cholesterol, is important in the prevention of heart disease, which remains the nation’s leading killer of men and women.

Baptist Health Paducah is nationally-accredited as a Cycle III Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. PCI, also known as angioplasty, uses a stent to open clogged arteries, meaning hospital staff meets national time standards to provide this life-saving treatment.
