Paducah teen arrested on sex charges with child less than 12 years | Crime

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Paducah Police Department reports Wednesday they arrested a 19-year-old on charges of sex abuse with a child less than 12 years old.

Samuel L. Houston, of the 2400 block of Palmer Street, was arrested and charged with use of a minor less than 12 years of age in a sexual performance, two counts of first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse.

The police department says Houston was arrested after he admitted to sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl this summer.

Police say they were alerted after a friend of Houston asked to borrow his cell phone and found sexually suggestive photos of a child. Detectives began an investigation and Houston was interviewed Wednesday morning.

Detectives say Houston admitted to sodomizing a four-year-old that he was acquainted with on two occasions. They say he also admitted he touched her inappropriately.

Houston was booked at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
