Teen, 30-year-old arrested after two separate drug investigations

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested a 30-year-old and a teen on drug charges after two different investigations.

Jared Hill, 19, of Paducah was arrested and charged with five counts of selling controlled substances to a minor and possession of marijuana.

Josh Goheen, 30, of Paducah was arrested and charged with second degree trafficking controlled substance, second offense.

According to the sheriff's department, on March 5 they received information that a local man was illegally selling controlled substances to several individuals. Detectives with the Drug Division began an investigation and were able to  get records of some of the transactions. They say they also learned that many of the alleged transactions happened at a local high school and during normal school hours.

The sheriff's department says the investigation revealed that the male had been selling the controlled substances to several individuals which included a 17 year old. The suspect was identified as Hill, also a local high school student. During the course of the investigation, the department says they learned that Hill had sold controlled substances, including Percocet, Lortab, Vyvnase, Concerta and marijuana to the juvenile.

Detectives found Hill on the afternoon of March 5 and interviewed him. The sheriff's department says on March 6, an arrest warrant for five counts of selling controlled substance to minor and one count of marijuana possession was obtained for Hill. They say Hill turned himself in to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department and was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

In a separate investigation, the McCracken County Grand Jury indicted Josh Goheen for second degree trafficking in controlled substances, second offense.

The sheriff's department says in February detectives began in investigation regarding Goheen trafficking prescription medication. During the investigation they say it was determined that Goheen had sold Lortab doses during the month of February.

Goheen was arrested for an unrelated probation violation and the sheriff's department says the indictment warrant was served on him at the McCracken County Regional Jail on March 1.
