Purchase area fugitive caught at Paducah bus station | Crime
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says for the past three months, area law enforcement agencies have been searching for a suspect that is suspected of being involved in several home burglaries.
Arrest warrants from Ballard, Carlisle and McCracken Counties were active for Aaron D. Fraser, 39, who the sheriff's department says is originally from Paducah.
The sheriff’s department says detectives learned Fraser had gone to Michigan in an effort to hide from law enforcement about a month ago.
On Feb. 9, Ballard County Sheriff’s Deputies tried to stop Fraser in Carlisle County. Fraser led the deputies on a 15-mile car pursuit but was able to get away. The sheriff's department says warrants for fleeing or evading, first degree and wanton endangerment, first degree were taken.
Warrants were taken in Ballard County by the sheriff’s department for Fraser relating to a burglary that on April 1 at a home in Wickliffe. Warrants were taken for Fraser for second degree burglary, theft of property under $10,000, and theft of a controlled substance related to the burglary.
On April 11, McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives charged Fraser with committing a home burglary on Lane Road in McCracken County, where a 50 inch plasma television was stolen.
On Thursday, detectives received a tip that Fraser would be arriving in Paducah around noon on a bus. Deputies hid in the area and once identifying Fraser as he was getting off of the bus, they arrested him without incident.
Fraser was served with the above listed charges from the three counties. He is still a suspect in other area home burglaries and additional charges may be filed at a later time.
He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
