Homeless woman arrested, charged with shoplifting, meth making, public intoxication | Crime
PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Paducah Police Department says a homeless woman was arrested Monday for public intoxication, shoplifting and making meth.
Meagan L. Wagoner, 27, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, theft by unlawful taking and making meth.
According to police, Wagoner accused of shoplifting at K-Mart on Lone Oak Road was arrested after she was found in possession of meth precursors.
Police say a loss prevention officer at K-Mart called police to report a woman was shoplifting. When officers arrived, they found Wagoner sitting in her car in the parking lot. They say the loss prevention officer identified her as the shoplifter.
In the floorboard of Wagoner's car, police say they found ingredients used to make meth. Wagoner was accused of stealing lithium batteries, another meth ingredient, from K-Mart.
Wagoner was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
