Kevil man arrested after he allegedly hit several cars while driving under the influence | Crime
PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Paducah Police Department says a Kevil man has been arrested after he reportedly hit several cars and fled the scene.
Fred Noel, 40, of Kevil was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
An officer reported Noel was driving a 1985 Toyota pickup north on Joe Clifton Drive and failed to stop at a red light at H.C. Mathis Drive. Noel's truck hit a 2003 Ford F150 driven by Paul C. Stetson, 37, that was turning from H.C. Mathis Drive onto Joe Clfton Drive. Witnesses told police Noel then fled the scene.
According to the police department, witnesses followed Noel's truck and told them he was driving south on 25th Street minutes later when he ran a stop sign at Mildred Street and hit a 2010 Volkswagon Jetta driven by Amy Goebel, 39, of Dorsey, Ill.
Police say Noel then jumped from his truck and ran away. He was caught by an officer after a brief chase.
Noel was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
