McCracken County man facing meth charge fails to appear in court | Crime
MCCRACKEN COUNTY (KFVS) - A McCracken County man, who was charged with trafficking methamphetamine earlier this month, now has a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear in court.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested James "Jimmy" Boggess on August 16. The charges stemmed from an investigation detectives conducted from which approximately two ounces of crystal methamphetamine and money from illegal drug sales were seized.
At the time of his arrest, Boggess was on parole for similar offenses. Within 24 hours of his arrest, Boggess was released on a $5,000 cash bond.
On August 23, Boggess failed to appear for his preliminary hearing and a $25,000 bench warrant was issued for him.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department is currently seeking help from the public to locate Boggess who is 49 years old, 5'11'' and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He has brown and gray hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information related to Boggess and his whereabouts is urged to contact crime stoppers at 270-443-TELL. A cash award of up to $1,000 could be offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest of Boggess.
