Pregnant woman, 3 others arrested after meth investigation | Crime
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Several arrests have been made following a methamphetamine investigation in the Boaz area of McCracken County.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department began receiving information about a week ago alleging that meth manufacturing was occurring at 1430 Byran Road.
On September 4 at around 1:30 p.m., sheriff deputies arrested Dana Turner, 46, a resident of 1430 Bryan Road, for drug offenses during a traffic stop. After police say Turner attempted to conceal a pill bottle under the seat of her car, deputies searched Turner's vehicle. The search resulted in the seizure of doses of Soma, Valium and a quantity of marijuana.
Sheriff's detectives with McCracken and Marshall County Sheriff's departments later obtained a search warrant for 1430 Bryan Road. Detectives learned that there were firearms, pit bull dogs and possibly an active meth lab inside the house. Due to the circumstances, McCracken County Sheriff's Department Special Service Team was utilized to execute the search warrant at the residence at around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
Detectives located and arrested Sylvia Priscilla Fiers, 25 of Smithland, Ky., Stephen R. Davidson, 27 of Paducah and David J. Campbell, 26 of Paducah, inside the home, which detectives noticed had an overwhelming odor of ether. Detectives seized multiple components to manufacture meth, an active meth lab, digital scales, smoking pipes and assorted drug paraphernalia. Also seized were multiple meth labs from outside the residence.
As a result of the investigation, Dana Turner was charged with possession of a 3rd degree controlled substance--Soma, possession of a 3rd degree controlled substance--Valium, possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence.
Sylvia Fiers was charged with complicity to manufacturing methamphetamine, a felony punishable by 10-20 years in prison, possession of meth, controlled substance endangerment to child in the 4th degree, both of which are punishable by 1-5 years in prison. Fiers was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fiers was pregnant at the time of her arrest, which resulted in an additional felony charge of controlled substance endangerment of a child.
Stephen Davidson was charged with complicity to manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
David Campbell was charged with complicity to manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An investigation is ongoing.
