PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Paducah Police Department has arrested two teen men in connection with the robbery of a KFC Restaurant on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Carletus Shumpert, 19, was charged with first degree robbery.

Deandre Foulks, 19, was charged with first degree robbery and was served a warrant charging him with a parole violation on a previous robbery convictions.

According to police, Foulks was arrested at 6 p.m. and Shumpert was arrested at 9 p.m. Tuesday, one week after the robbery.

They say a detective interviewed witnesses immediately after the robbery and in the days following, and followed up on Crime Stoppers tips. That investigation led him to Foulks and Schumpert.

Police say an employee told them two black males, both wearing masks, entered the restaurant and one of them displayed a handgun. The robbers demanded money from the cash registers and the safe, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The investigation is ongoing and police say other charges are possible.
