Sept. activity log for KSP, Post 1 | Crime
GRAVES AND MCCRACKEN COUNTIES (KFVS) - Kentucky State Police, Post 1 has released their activity log for the month of September.
It includes:
- Criminal cases opened - 86
- Criminal arrests - 240
- Citations written - 2,046: Speed- 819, Seatbelt- 195, Child restraint- 20
- Collisions investigated - 51
- Fatalities (investigated by KSP) - 3
- Calls for service - 785
- DUI arrests - 46
KSP, Post 1, covers the 11 counties of Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, and Trigg.
In 2012 KSP says there have been 42 people killed in fatal collisions in the Post 1 area. Of those who died, 21 were not wearing a seatbelt and four were not wearing a helmet.
Through Sept. 30, preliminary statistics indicate that 543 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2012. This is six more than reported for this time period in 2011. These statistics are still preliminary as KSP waits for all local law enforcement agencies throughout the state to report any crashes and fatalities that may have occurred in their areas.
