4 arrested on escape, drug charges in McCracken Co. | Crime
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested four people December 10 on various escape and drug-related charges.
On Dec. 10, deputies responded to 355 Mark Drive in the Lone Oak area on a tip from the Kentucky State Police that escapees from Calloway County were likely at the home.
Deputies spoke with the homeowner who gave consent to search it. The sheriff's department says they found several individuals in a back room of the home. Deputies say the individuals were guests of a family member of the homeowner.
Deputies say they began to question the individuals when one deputy recognized one of the individuals as being Bradley S. Cathey, 23, of Hazel, Ky., due to a large piercing in Cathey’s ear. When asked for the names of the subjects, two of the individuals in the home gave a false name and information. Cathey gave the name Justin Weaver and Lacey Jones, 22, of Paducah, advised her name was Trinity Smith. Both individuals were then warned by deputies about giving false names.
Based on a photograph match, the sheriff's department says Cathey was taken into custody after determining the name he gave to deputies was false. Cathey admitted walking off from the Calloway County jail. Deputies were also able to determine from a photograph that Trinity Smith was in fact Jones. She was arrested on a warrant for aiding in the escape of Cathey and for giving officers a false name.
During the questioning of the individuals, deputies say they noticed several items of drug paraphernalia. in plain view. Deputies received consent to search the home from the homeowner, who was unaware of any of the persons staying as guests of a family member or drug activity. Upon searching the area, deputies say they found an active methamphetamine lab in a bag and numerous other items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Deputies called for detectives from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office to aid in the safe removal of the methamphetamine lab.
The following individuals were arrested on various escape and drug related charges. All individuals were lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
Bradley Cathey, 23 of Hazel, Ky. was served an arrest warrant for second degree escape, making meth in the first offense, buy/possesion of drug paraphernalia, first degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), second degree wanton endangerment and giving an officer false name/address.
Lasey K Jones, 22, of Paducah was served an arrest warrant for complicity to escape second degree, possession of controlled substance first degree (meth), drug paraphernalia buy/possession, wanton endangerment second degree and giving an officer false name/address.
Shayna Snelling, 20, of Paducah was charged with possession of controlled substance first degree (meth), drug paraphernalia buy/possession and wanton endangerment second degree.
Kyle R. Dillworth, 22 of Paducah was charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree (meth), drug paraphernalia buy/possession and wanton endangerment second degree.
All individuals were charged with wanton endangerment second degree for leaving drug paraphernalia, to include syringes and methamphetamine manufacturing materials within reach of a two-year-old toddler.
The sheriff's department says Cathey and two other individuals walked away from the Calloway County Jail on Dec. 16. The two other individuals: Tab P. Delancey, 47, described as a white male, and Terry W. Hardin, 23, described as a black male, are still being sought by the Kentucky State Police for escape second degree.
