Brookport woman charged with drug trafficking | Crime

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Brookport woman was arrested January 31 for allegedly trafficking drugs.

Melissa R. Dublin, 20, was charged with first degree conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance, a class c felony. She was taken to the McCracken County Jail.

According to the Paducah Police Department, the Drug and Vice Enforcement arrested Dublin after an undercover investigation involving several people. At around 6:30 p.m., police say undercover detectives bought $200 worth of crack cocaine from Dublin. Police say it is believed Dublin is working with another individual, selling illegal drugs in the McCracken County area.

After the undercover investigation, Dublin was arrested and was in possession of marked money that the officer used to buy the cocaine. Police say the individual working with Dublin was believed to be in the area; however, officers were unable to find him after arresting Dublin.

The police department says the investigation is continuing with additional arrests anticipated.
