2 Paducah men charged with drug offenses | Crime

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division completed an investigation on Thursday, February 14 into alleged marijuana trafficking by two men.

Around 4 p.m. on Thursday, detectives arrested Ricky Hughes on the parking lot of a South Side restaurant on Irvin Cobb Drive. They say Hughes had just sold a quantity of marijuana and was found to be in possession of money belonging to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department as well as thousands more dollars which are believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

In continuing the investigation, detectives got a search warrant for Hughes’ residence on in Paducah. They were helped by patrol units from the Paducah Police Department. During the search, detectives say they found additional marijuana and evidence of illegal drug trafficking in a room belonging to Hughes.

Detectives say they also found a safe in Shikeem Leflore’s room. They say the safe contained a pistol, additional marijuana, evidence of marijuana trafficking and additional money that is believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Both Hughes and Leflore were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. Hughes was charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving officer false name or address.

Leflore was charged with firearm enhanced trafficking marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
