Paducah police arrest man wanted by Radcliff police, KSP | Crime
PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A man wanted in Radcliff, Ky was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Paducah police.
Byron Peeler, 43, was arrested on warrants charging him with first-degree robbery. Police say he has no permanent address.
According to Kentucky State Police, they were contacted by the Paducah police on Tuesday, March 5 around 5 a.m. requesting help in an armed robbery of a cab driver, due to the possibility of other crimes being committed between Jeffersonville, Ind. and Paducah, Ky.
Police say Peeler rented a cab from the Checker Club Cab Company in Jeffersonville, Ind. and was taken to Paducah, Ky. Allegedly, the cab made several stops along the way.
Police say while the cab was in Paducah, Peeler robbed the driver and ran.
According to Paducah police, they received information that Peeler was hiding in Paducah and that he might be in the area of 13th and Burnett Streets. Detectives conducted surveillance and arrested him after they saw him walking down the sidewalk about 3:30 p.m.
Peeler was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
KSP says the investigation is ongoing.
