MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A single-vehicle crash on Highway 286 sends the driver to the hospital and surprises first-responders when a 6-foot python crawls out of the car.
On July 3 around 1:58 a.m., detectives received a report of a crash on Highway 286.
They say the investigation revealed that Taylor M. Griffith, 21, of Kevil, was driving a 2001 Saturn Vue westbound on Hwy. 286 when for undetermined reasons, the car left the road and hit a mailbox. The car then hit a ditch, causing it to flip over on its roof.

Griffith was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, failure of owner to maintain required insurance second offense, criminal mischief third degree.
The criminal mischief charge is from damages Griffith caused to the mailbox.
