Boil order lifted for Paducah Oaks Mall area | Events
PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah Water announced the boil water advisory for the Kentucky Oaks Mall area from Highway 60 to the Barkley Regional Airport; from Highway 62 at Olive Church Road to Fisher Road; from Cairo Road to the end of Noble Road and all areas between has been canceled as of 10:18 a.m. on Thursday, October 18.
Customers within the area affected can now be comfortable using tap water for all purposes.
According to Paducah Water, on Oct. 17 a boil water advisory was issued to customers in the affected area because of a main break and to be proactive in ensuring public health. Tests taken of the water from yesterday showed the water was/is safe and has no bacteriological problems. However, the advisory was issued as a precautionary measure due to the loss of pressure per state regulations. Paducah Water says they appreciate their customers' and apologize for the impact of the boil water advisory.
