Paducah Parks Services to host holiday events for families Dec. 8, 12 | Events

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah Parks Services will host fun holiday events for the entire family on December 8 and December 12.

On Saturday, Dec. 8, children ages 12 and under will race to find as many candy canes as they can at the annual Candy Cane Hunt. The children will be divided into age groups as they race to collect the 750 candy canes. The hunt will be at Keiler Park at 2900 Broadway with registration beginning at 9 a.m. and the hunt at 10 a.m. Goodie bags will be given out to the first 100 participants in addition to drawings for door prizes.

Children ages 12 and under need to get their Christmas lists ready for Santa. On Saturday, Dec. 15, children will have the opportunity to eat breakfast with Santa Claus and the Grinch. They can sit on Santa’s lap, pose for pictures, and share their Christmas wish lists. The breakfast will be at 9 a.m. at the Paducah Recreation Center located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. 

The parks services says there is no charge to participate in either event.
