Ky. Science Center's new mobile education program to visit Farley Elementary | Events
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Science Center's new mobile education program, "Captain Current vs. the Electricity Vampire", will visit Farley Elementary School on Wednesday, December 5, at 10:45 a.m.
The assembly follows educator superhero Captain Current in a quest to defeat the Electricity Vampire in a 45-minute participatory performance. The program also includes up to ten interactive activity stations that expand connections and content understanding. Students will be introduced to sources of energy, how energy is generated and transmitted, and unique artifacts from LG&E and KU.
The mobile education program is part of a plan to expand the Kentucky Science Center's "Do Science" mission throughout Kentucky.
The performance will begin at 10:45 a.m. in the gymnasium of Farley Elementary School.
