McCracken County announces cheer coach, marching band director | Events
The cheerleading coach and marching band director for McCracken County High School were recently announced.
Jennifer McKenzie was named head cheerleading coach. McKenzie teaches math at Reidland High School and has coached the cheer program there for 14 years where she led the team to several state and national championships.
"I am excited to start the journey of building a winning competitive program at McCracken County High School," McKenzie said. "I can't wait to honor the traditions...while we create new traditions that bring excitement and crowd involvement to the ballgames."
Stephen Page was named director of the McCracken County High School Mustang Marching Band.
Page has taught high school band for 14 years and is a graduate of Reidland High School and has earned degrees from Murray State University and the University of Louisville.
"With the support of the administration, the families and the community, I expect the McCracken County High School band program to soon grow into something of which Western Kentucky can be proud," Page said.
McCracken County High School is set to open in the fall of 2013.
