Bikes on Broadway cancelled | Events

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The city of Paducah will not be able to hold the Bikes on Broadway event that was scheduled for Sunday, May 15.

Because of historic levels on the Ohio River recently, most of the city's barricades are being used to block traffic from getting near the city's floodgates and floodwall.

The safety of bicyclists and pedestrians requires several barricades and cones to block vehicle access from the side streets to Broadway.

The city of Paducah apologizes for any inconvenience or disappointment in the cancellation on Sunday.

Additional Bikes on Broadway events are scheduled for June 12, July 10, September 11 and October 9. This is the fourth year for the event which includes closing a stretch of Broadway in Paducah to traffic on a Sunday afternoon.
