WKCTC offers beginnig floral design class | Home & Garden

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - West Kentucky Community and Technical College will be offering a floral creation design class for beginners.

The Beginning Floral Design will be held on four consecutive Thursday evenings in October at the Emerging technology Center on the WKCTC campus.

The class will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25. It costs $85 for the four sessions and supplies for one arrangement, including vase, will be furnished.

Session topics are as follows:

• Session One - Introduction to design and bow making
• Session Two - Basic floral design step by step
• Session Three - Creating your own style
• Session Four - Choices for the holidays

According to WKCTC, instructor Joyce M. Vasseur owned and operated a successful florist business in Marion, Ill., and taught floral design at John A. Logan College for several years. She is an artist, an interior decorator, a floral designer, and a certified home stager.

Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. A minimum number of participants are needed for this offering to take place.
