Paducah man killed after hit by Hummer driven by 17 year old | News

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS)- US 62 at the intersection with Mayfield Metropolis Road was closed for about four hours Wednesday after a deadly crash involving a 17 year old without a valid driver's license.
The two vehicle head on crash happened Wednesday around 8:41 a.m., according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.
A 2007 Hummer H-2 was eastbound on Blandville Road, and crossed the centerline and hit head on a 2009 Dodge minivan, according to the sheriff's department.
The driver of the minivan, Ezra Moffett Jr., 34, of Paducah was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County Coroner's Office.
Several witnesses reported to deputies that just before the wreck, the Hummer H-2 was driving in a reckless manner, swerving from lane to lane and speeding. Several other drivers reported that they were also almost hit by the Hummer.
The Hummer had two 17 year olds inside. The driver did not have a valid driver's license.
Both teens in the Hummer were transported by Mercy Regional Ambulance to Western Baptist Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives had to get a search warrant to obtain blood and urine samples of the driver of the Hummer, as he refused to voluntarily provide them.
Possibility criminal charges are pending.
The Lone Oak and Concord Fire Departments assisted at the scene as well as McCracken County DES. US 62 Blandville Road was closed from 8:41 a.m. until about 12:30 p.m.
