KYTC plans road paving in the coming weeks | News

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced they are planning on paving the following locations in the following weeks.

They say all dates are tentative and scheduled on a weather permitting basis. Dates include:

Ballard County

• June 27-July 2 - Asphalt paving along US 62 from mile point 0.000 at the Ballard County/Carlisle County line to mile point 1.754 at the Ballard/McCracken County line. Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $174,996 highway improvement project.
• July 11-July 14 - Asphalt paving along KY 358 from mile point 4.202 to Brooking Road at mile point 5.260, a distance of just over 1 mile. Asphalt paving along KY 1105 from mile point 4.911 at the North End of Humphrey Creek Bridge to KY 310 at mile point 6.689, a distance of 1.7 miles. Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $257,406 highway improvement project.

McCracken County

• July 16-July 20 - Asphalt paving along US 45 from South 31st Street in Paducah at mile point 9.512 to US 60 at mile point 9.870, a distance less than a mile. Asphalt paving along US 45 from Laclede Street in Paducah at mile point 10.806 to US 45 Business at mile point 12.106, a distance of 1.3 miles. Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $483,273 highway improvement project
• July 22-July 27 - Asphalt paving along US 62 from East End of I-24 Overpass at mile point 11.862 Hilldale Road at mile point 12.640, a distance of just under a mile. Asphalt paving along KY 1154 from US 60 at mile point 0.000 to KY 725 at mile point 1.601. Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $426,376 highway improvement project
• July 22-July 31 - Asphalt paving along KY 358 from the McCracken/Ballard County line at mile point 0.000 to KY 725 at mile point 3.790. Asphalt paving along KY 786 from KY 1438 at mile point 1.774 to KY 1322 at mile point 3.094, a distance of 1.32 miles. Asphalt paving along KY 996 from KY 358 at mile point 6.791 to KY 1420 at mile point 8.152, a distance of 1.36 miles. Asphalt paving along KY 1420 from mile point 5.087 to KY 305 at mile point 6.293, a distance of 1.2 miles. Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $702,120 highway improvement project.
