MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - One person was injured after a vehicle hit a concrete rail on Interstate 24 early Saturday morning.

The crash happened at the 10 mile marker on I-24 around 3:56 a.m.

Eric James, of Clarksville Tenn. was driving a 2003 Pontiac Vibe east bound when he started to hydroplane, lost control of the vehicle and struck a concrete bridge rail, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office.

James’ passenger, Lisette Reed, of Symsonia, was transported by Mercy Regional EMS for what appeared to be non life threatening injuries. 

Both James and Reed were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision. 

I-24 remained open during the investigation and clean up.
