Asphalt paving in McCracken Co. to reduce traffic to 1 lane in areas

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a contractor will be restricting traffic for asphalt paving along KY 358, KY 786, KY 996 and KY 1420 starting Tuesday, July 24.

The paving will include:

  • KY 358/Ogden Landing Road runs from the McCracken-Ballard County Line at mile point 0.0 to KY 755 at mile point 3.79
  • KY 786/Metropolis Landing Road runs from KY 358/Ogden Landing Road at mile point 3.094, a distance of 1.35 miles
  • KY 996/Metropolis Lake Road runs from near Perennial Road mile point 5.087 to mile point 6.293, a distance of 1.21 miles

According to KYTC, drivers should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers during daylight hours. Work along these routes is expected to take about eight days to finish, weather permitting.
