Crews to continue brush clearing work on I-24

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a contractor crew will continue brush clearing work along Interstate 24 in McCracken County this week.

According to KYTC, much of this brush clearing work is focused on bridge ends and overpasses.

This week, they say the crew is working on I-24 westbound between KY 305 Exit 3 and the Ohio River Bridge at mile point 0.0. All westbound traffic is moved to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.

KYTC says those driving I-24 westbound should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this work zone near the 3 mile marker.

The brush cutting crew expects to be working in this area for several days. The crew will then move to the eastbound lanes in this same area.
