Paducah police swear in newest officer

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah Police Department's newest officer, Henry Collins, was sworn in Thursday morning by Circuit Judge Craig Clymer.

Collins was an officer with the Nashville Police Department for 13 years. He most recently served three years with the University of Kentucky Police Department while his wife, Kimberly, was completing medical school at UK.

The Paducah Police Department says Dr. Collins accepted a position with Lourdes Hospital, and the couple moved to Paducah a few months ago. Because Collins already finished basic training, he will undergo an abbreviated Police Training Officer program before being released on his own.
