Paducah driver killed in crash | News

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS)- Deputies say a driver from Paducah was killed in a crash around 1 p.m. on Thursday in
the area of Hendron Road and Starr Lane.

According to the sheriff's office, a vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Hendron
Road approaching Starr Lane was involved in a fatal collision. The driver, a
Paducah resident, was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County
Coroners Office after Mercy Regional EMT's attempted to render medical aid. 

An investigation revealed that the driver had lost
consciousness prior to the collision. The driver losing consciousness was
likely brought on by medical reasons. After the driver lost consciousness, the
vehicle gained speed and left the roadway striking a tree on the east side.

The McCracken
County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS, Hendron
Fire Department, and the McCracken County Coroners Office.

The name of the driver is not being release pending family being notified.
