Driver reportedly falls asleep, crashes motorcycle

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS)-

An early morning motorcycle crash sent the driver to a hospital with injuries in McCracken County.

It happened Sunday around 4 a.m. in the 500 Block of Krebs Station Road in Paducah.

Crash investigators say Charles Tarr, 19, of Benton, Ky. was driving a 1985 Honda Shadow motorcycle westbound on Krebs Station Road, when he fell asleep and laid the motorcycle down on it's right side.

The motorcycle then slid off the right side of the roadway.   

Tarr was taken by EMS to a Paducah area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and The Lone Oak Fire Department.
