1 injured after crash at Paducah intersection | News
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says a Paducah woman was injured Saturday, September 29 after a crash at the intersection of Husband Road and John L. Puryear Drive.
Deputies responded to the crash around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday. They say the investigation showed that a 1992 Chevy truck driven by Leonard Tucker, 54 of Paducah, was traveling northbound on John L. Puryear Drive approaching the intersection of Husbands Road. Deputies say as Tucker's truck was passing through the intersection, it hit a 2011 Chevy truck driven by 24-year-old Travis Watson from Paducah, that was crossing Puryear Drive.
According to deputies, Watson’s truck spun into a third vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, that was stopped and waiting to pull out of the parking lot of the Exxon located at 2730 John L. Puryear Drive. The operator of the Malibu, 17-year-old, Jarren Brokaw, and his 15-year-old passenger, Brandon Agen, both of Paducah, were not injured in the accident.
The passenger in Tucker’s truck, 55-year-old Judy Sledd of Paducah, was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of her injuries. The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says her condition is unknown.
The sheriff's department says all three vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene. They say the northbound lanes of traffic were reduced to one lane for approximately one hour.
