3 arrested for robbing man using walker | News
PADUCAH, KY (KFVS)- Paducah police say three people were arrested after reportedly robbing a man using a walker on Wednesday morning.
Christopher M. Dacre, 31, of the 1000 block of Bronson Avenue, was arrested on a charge of complicity to second-degree robbery.
Robin Hiett, 33, who police say has no permanent address, was arrested on charges of second-degree robbery, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lacy Wagner, 28, who police say has no permanent address, was arrested on a charge of second-degree robbery.
According to police, Jerry Don Garrett, 66, of Paducah, who uses the assistance of a walker, was walking in the 1600 block of Broadway about 6 a.m. heading to a restaurant.
Police say Garrett says that a young woman got out of a stopped car and spoke with him for a few minutes. The woman then got back into the car and it circled the block. Afterwards, the car stopped near the man again and the woman and a second woman got out and allegedly knocked Garrett down and took his wallet and keys. The women and the car's driver then reportedly fled.
Garrett gave officers a description of the two women and the car. Officers recognized the vehicle as one they had seen parked in the 1600 block of Jefferson Street.
Police soon went to that location and found the car with Christopher Dacre, Robin Hiett and Lacy Wagner still inside. The officers found Garrett's keys and wallet, but say his money was missing.
A Police K9 indicated the presence of drugs in the car, and officers say they found a case containing marijuana residue. Officers say they also found a pipe on Hiett used to smoke crack cocaine.
Dacre and Hiett were booked into McCracken County Regional Jail. Wagner was taken to Western Baptist Hospital after she allegedly repeatedly slammed her head into the partition separating the police cruiser's front and rear seats. She was to be booked into jail.
