Stolen church trailer with puppets found
News

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A stolen church trailer used for a traveling puppet ministry has been located.

The trailer was stolen from the Newton Creek Baptist Church at 12800 Ogden Landing Road near the Ballard County line.

The trailer held about 50 hand puppets, lighting equipment and various other items that the church utilized for their puppet ministry.

Detectives believe sometime between Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, the church, had their enclosed trailer stolen from underneath a car port that located across the street at the corner of Warford Road and Ogden Landing Road. The enclosed trailer was an East 2003 dual axel 7X14 and was white in color.

The stolen trailer was found in a secluded area in the Monkeys Eyebrow community in Ballard County around 9:45 a.m. Monday.

Detectives believe the suspects had no interest in the trailer's contents.

Detectives processed the scene and believe evidence collected greatly
increased the chances of determining who was responsible for taking the
trailer.

While the results of the evidence are pending, everyone is still encouraged to contact the sheriff's department if they have any information pertaining to the investigation.
