MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A 74-year-old Kevil man was injured after losing control and overturning his motorcycle on Ogden Landing Road.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says they received a call around 1:20 p.m. on Oct. 16 about an injury crash at the intersection of Ogden Landing Road and Metropolis Lake Road.
When they arrived, deputies say they found George R. Wolfingbarger was driving a silver, 1999 Yamaha V Star eastbound on Ogden Landing Road approaching Metropolis Lake Road when he began to leave the road on the southbound side. Deputies say he over-corrected, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle. They say he left the road on the south side which caused his motorcycle to overturn and come to rest on top of him.
Wolfingbarger was treated at the scene by Mercy Regional EMS for injuries from the crash and was taken to Western Baptist Hospital.
The sheriff's department says Ogden Landing Road was closed a half mile west of Metropolis Lake Road for about 1 hour for the investigation and clean-up of the road.
