2 injured after truck overturns on US 62/Reidland Rd. | News

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded to a vehicle rollover with injuries around 1 p.m. on Monday.
According to deputies, a 2001 Freightliner boom truck driven by 18-year-old Alex Colley of Mayfield and his passenger, 45-year-old Dale Carr also of Mayfield were going east on US 62 Reidland Road and Colley was trying to make a right turn onto KY 131.
Deputies say the driver started to make the right turn and was told by the passenger he needed to go down KY. Dam Road. They say the driver then over-steered the truck to the left, causing the truck to overturn and slide up the road about 30 feet before hitting a guard rail and coming to a rest blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic.
The sheriff's department says traffic was diverted down KY 131 for about two hours until the road was cleared. They say both the driver and passenger were taken to Lourdes Hospital by ambulance for life threatening injuries.
