PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says P&L Railroad plans to close KY 2187/Husbands Road on Paducah’s Southside due to a broken rail in the crossing at mile point 2.589.
This rail crossing is on KY 2187/Husbands Road just south of the KY 284/Bridge Street intersection between Bridge Street and Dixie Avenue.
A rail crew will wait until after the morning school bus run to close the crossing. At this time, KYTC says they expect to close the crossing by about 9 a.m. KY 2187/Husbands Road is expected to remain closed at this site for about six to seven hours to allow repairs to be completed.
According to KYTC, there will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour off KY 1954/John Puryear Drive via Hovekamp Road and Estes Lane. Trucks should access the area from the south end of KY 2187/Husbands Road.
