MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call around 3 p.m. on Monday about a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Cairo Road and Coleman Road.
According to the sheriff's department, the investigation showed that 61-year-old David E. Harris was northbound on Coleman Road in a 2000 Chevy S-10 and was going to make a right turn onto Cairo Road. They say Harris pulled his truck into the path of a 2004 Dodge Stratus driven by 52-year-old Lisa D. Beach as she was driving eastbound on Cairo Road.
After the crash, officers say Beach's car came to a rest blocking the westbound lane and Harris's truck came to a rest on its side, in the right-side ditch where he had to be removed by mechanical means.
Beach and Harris, both from Paducah were taken to an area hospital and treated for their injuries.
The Sheriff’s Department was helped by Mercy Regional Ambulance Service, Concord Fire Dept., McCracken County D.E.S. and Meadow’s Towing service to clear the scene.
