MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Lane restrictions will resume along US 45/Lone Oak Road near Interstate 24, Exit 7 in McCracken County beginning Friday, Feb. 1.
According to Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the lane restriction is to continue work on extending the high-strength concrete road surface.
Work is set to start at 8 p.m. on Friday and continue through the weekend.
A contractor will shift northbound US 45 traffic near the 8 mile marker in front of Lourdes Hospital.
Work this coming weekend may also include some traffic shifts for the westbound I-24 Exit 7 ramp to US 45 and US 62 as well as southbound traffic on US 45.
Drivers are asked to slow down and use extreme caution in the work zone. Drivers should also be alert for equipment, flaggers and construction workers on the roadway close to traffic.
The project is expected to be completed and the work zone removed by 6 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4.
The work is scheduled at night on weekends to minimize traffic disruptions on weekdays.
