1 injured, charges pending after rollover crash in McCracken County | News

One person was injured and several charges are pending following a rollover crash on Interstate 24 in McCracken County on Sunday.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, 24-year-old Jessie Arave of Gilbertsville was driving eastbound on I-24 when, for unknown reasons, she ran off the road and overturned several times.
Officials say Arave seemed to have been ejected as she was found in the median about 30 feet from the car.
Reports show Arave was not wearing a seatbelt and was on a cell phone at the time of the wreck.
Arave was taken to Lourdes Hospital and was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital. Her condition is not known at this time.
The investigation is ongoing in this case but the following charges are expected to be brought against Arave:
- Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree
- Possession of marijuana
- Failure of owner to maintain required insurance, 1st offense
- Operating on suspended operator's license
Due to Arave's injuries, charges will be brought at a later time.
