1 taken to hospital after crash on Kelly Rd., US Hwy. 60 | News
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A woman was taken to the hospital after a crash on Kelly Road Monday, April 8.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says they responded to the scene around 4:07 p.m. They say 29-year-old Terri Richards from West Paducah was starting from the stop sign, southbound on Kelly Road and trying to cross US Highway 60 West when she was distracted by her five-month-old passenger.
Deputies say while distracted, she failed to stop in the center median and continued forward, driving into the eastbound lane of traffic on US Highway 60 West where she hit an SUV that was was eastbound on US Highway 60 West, driven by Carrie Stapleton, 43, from Metropolis, Ill., who also had a nine-year-old passenger.
According to the sheriff's department, Richards was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
