Stolen vehicle recovered, 3 face charges in McCracken County | News
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS)- A vehicle that was stolen has been recovered and two people have been arrested in connection to the theft.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday a call came in for a stolen vehicle in the area of Kentucky Oaks Mall.
Sheriff's deputies and the Paducah Police Department responded and started looking for the vehicle, a Chevrolet truck, but it was already gone from the parking lot of the mall.
Officers began looking for the truck, which had been taken from a house on Lovelaceville Road the previous weekend.
Just after 8 p.m., an off duty sheriff's sergeant saw the truck on Benton Road and officers were able to find the truck and conducted a felony stop at AAA Stow Away Storage on Benton Road.
The vehicle was turned over to the owner at the scene.
Deputies interviewed and arrested Jarron D. Milam, 19 of Paducah, who was driving the vehicle.
Based on the interview with Milam, deputies and detectives conducted interviews with Atiao L. Jackson, 19, of Kevil.
A 16-year-old juvenile was also interviewed and based on that interview, that juvenile was released to his parents on the charge of theft by unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
Milam was charged with theft by unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking under $500 and criminal mischief.
Jackson was charged with theft by unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
